True Depth 3D DLP-LINK Rechargeable 3D Glasses (2 Pairs) :Product DescriptionThe new and improved TrueDepth DLP LINK 3D shutter glasses provide a high quality low cost solution for viewing 3D images, movies and games on all Samsung or Mitsubishi 3D TVs (including legacy TVs!) as well as 3D projectors! No emitter is needed! These glasses feature a larger viewing area and a clearer image than other DLP LINK glasses on the market today. These come with a storage pouch and a cloth to clean the glasses. These glasses recharge easily via included USB cable! These also include 3 sets of nosepads for children or adults! These glasses feature a polarity reverse switch so corrections can be made while viewing- at the touch of a button! This eliminates the need to enter complicated menus on your TV or projector. These glasses are also less sensitive to light than the classic version. Now you can view 3D material in most lighting conditions! Please note that although these glasses work great with DLP 3D TVs, they may not work properly alongside of infrared glasses such as those found in the 3DC-1000 kit. Most TVs must use either infrared or DLP-LINK mode and cannot use both at the same time. Using both types of glasses simultaneously may work with some TV models, but is generally not recommended. For infrared systems, please see our True Depth 3D Samsung and Mitsubishi compatible glasses (infrared). True Depth 3D is a registered trademark with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office |
True Depth 3D DLP-LINK Rechargeable 3D Glasses (2 Pairs) : Customer ReviewsBelow is my original review for the battery powered dlp link glasses. Since then (which is less than a month ago) they have been replaced with these new Rechargeable DLP Link Glasses than have new arms. I am trading my old ones in for these now. Not so much because of the rechargeable part; which is nice, but because I realized with the battery powered ones after a few days that the arms were really flimsy, and while comfortable, did not hold on to the sides of my head securely at all and would always slip off when I looked down. I see now that they have the better better and stiffer arms. These glasses should now be perfect. I'll write a new review soon as I get the new ones in. |

Vuzix Corp. Wrap 920 : Customer Reviews I bought the Wrap920 for use in Augmented Reality, looking for a cheaper solution to the high quality HMDs I used before (10,000$ and more). I must say that the Wrap is quite good for 300 dollars. At the same time I don't think most VR/AR users will be entirely happy with this device. The 15 degrees FOV are a bit poor and every user should adjust the glasses before use. Still it's nice to have an alternative if I work from home. I tried watching movies with the HMD as well. It's nothing like a wearable big-screen TV, but it works and after a few minutes you forget you're wearing the glasses. The HMD is not too heavy, still it gets uncomfortable after an hour or so. It's nice to be able to lie down and relax while watching. I felt a bit cross-eyed for a minute after use. I doubt frequent use is healthy for the eyes. The resolution is just 640x480. That's fine for 2D movies and such. I bought the VGA adapter so I can do stereoscopic 3D. Careful here. They use side-by-side for 3D, so the resolution is effectively just 320x480 per view (stretched to 640x480). Forget about reading text and the images start to look blurry. The quality of the monitors is okay. They have a bit of a red smear but unless you have a stark contrast like white font on black background you will not notice it. The Wrap comes with a cable for iPhone/iPodTouch. I really don't care about that, but I tried and those who want to use the Wrap on a plane should know that you will not see the same thing in the glasses as on your iPhone screen. In fact, I saw black all the time, except when playing a movie, and some apps like TED didn't give me an output at all. |

NVIDIA 3D Vision 2 Wireless Glasses Kit : Customer ReviewsIt By B. Giles should be noted that the review of this item is dependent on the video card of your computer, and the monitor you are using it with. My setup is listed below. I've used this a bit now. I have a blu ray disc drive, and this set up is capable of viewing 3d blu ray movies in full 1080p. You need to make sure that you have the right software to take advantage of it. If you need help with that, I can give you some references. I've only tested this on Tangled in 3D blu ray. As for games, it takes a little bit to get used to the shutter glasses, but once your eyes adjust, this baby can really add a whole new dimension to your games (pun intended). I've played Dawn of War 2, Borderlands, Counter Strike Source, and several others. This system works well, and best of all, when you start a game, a little message from Nvidia pops up and tells you the ideal settings for the game, to ensure the 3D works the best. The scroll wheel on the back of the unit is perfect for determining depth of the games. One really big plus is that I was worried how these glasses would fit over my prescription glasses. Rest assured - as long as you don't have enormous 80's styled lenses, these fit comfortably over regular glasses. I haven't had any problems at all. The only downside I've noticed is that the plastic around the lenses is very reflective, and can reflect images in the screen above and below your eyes. If this is something that really bothers you, you may want to go for the original vision kit. However, once I'm in the game, or into the movie, the reflections don't bother me much. And I'm sure that if I was desperate enough I could just paint them or put black paper over the edges. But it doesn't really bother me. Overall I would rate this a good buy. If you already have the monitor, and the video power - GO FOR IT. Otherwise, this is best used on Movies, or RTS/top down games. There are some first person shooters that work very well with the glasses. Bottom line is, the more people that buy this product, the more demand will rise for games that also support it. |
