True Depth 3D DLP-LINK Rechargeable 3D Glasses (2 Pairs) : Customer Reviews Below is my original review for the battery powered dlp link glasses. Since then (which is less than a month ago) they have been replaced with these new Rechargeable DLP Link Glasses than have new arms. I am trading my old ones in for these now. Not so much because of the rechargeable part; which is nice, but because I realized with the battery powered ones after a few days that the arms were really flimsy, and while comfortable, did not hold on to the sides of my head securely at all and would always slip off when I looked down. I see now that they have the better better and stiffer arms. These glasses should now be perfect. I'll write a new review soon as I get the new ones in. "I first bought the Optoma ZD101's because I saw all the good reviews, but in recent months a lot of those reviews have been downgraded. The optics on them were great, but they are too big, extremely uncomfortable (especially if you have a bigger head), they have fragile arms that break, they don't fold and don't come with anything to keep them in or to wipe them with. After a few weeks of owning them, I couldn't stand the way they pressed on the sides of my head, so I returned them. I did a little research and found a few alternatives that looked promising. The True Depth 3D Glasses (same as ultra clears but black) and the BenQ Glasses (sold only on BenQ and B&H Photo/Video website). The BenQ's are great because they use the same tech as the Optoma's but they have a redesigned and more stylish look, and the arms are rubber and much more solid (won't break), but ended up going with the True Depth because I like that they fold and come with a pouch and wipe to clean them with and keep them in. I just got mine today and was very nervous, thinking that the visual quality of them would not be as good as the Optoma's, but as soon as I tried them, I was immediately relieved. They are every bit as good as the Optoma's in terms of 3D Quality. The blacks are black and the colors are true. The depth is amazing, and the glasses themselves are better than the Optoma's in every single way possible. They look really nice and slick. They are ultra light, extremely comfortable, and I love having a pouch to put them in when I'm done. I could not be happier. To anyone with a Pre 2010 DLP television who are trying to decide which glasses to get, look no further. You will not be dissapointed.
